SendSpend Payment System offers 5 payment methods

ON LINE

Online Payments

The Payment Button on the website requests the customers to enter their SendSpend registered cellphone number. After entering the number, the customer is then requested to authorise the payment on the SendSpend App by entering their PIN and a One Time Password (OTP) which is sent to their phone by SMS text.

SendSpend online payment can be made without having a Bank account and replaces the Cash payment system.

Instant Pay

This is primarily for small merchants or person to person payments. A merchant who uses the SendSpend App to request a payment from the customer will ask the customer for their phone number and enter it into the App. The customer will receive a request for the payment which will also display the name and a photo of the person requesting the payment. The customer will authorise the payment by entering their PIN.

Instant pay enables Small shop owner to become part of the digital world without having a handheld instrument that they have to rent monthly and be able to service customers who do not have a bank account. This is a safe way for the customer and Shop owner to receive payment.

No need to convert money when doing international payments person to person as SendSpend will automatically convert the money into the currency of the person you send to if they don’t have the currency you are using.

SendSpend Business customer functionality allows merchants using Instant Pay or Point of Sale to create a QR Code for the payment amount. The SendSpend customer will then scan the QR Code and be presented with a request to confirm the payment along with a photo of the merchant. The customer will then authorise the payment by entering their PIN.

Point of Sale

This operates in a similar manner to Instant Pay, except the Request Payment Functionality is integrated into the Till Point at the Merchant’s checkout counter. It is usually used for large multi-store merchants. When a customer is paying at the checkout counter, the cashier will ask the customer for their registered phone number and enter it into the till. The customer will receive a request for payment which will also display the name of the merchant and the merchant’s
logo. The customer will authorise the payment by entering their PIN.

This offers great convenience for both the merchant and the customers as there is no requirement for them to carry cash and to safely pay for their purchase. The customer will also be able to conveniently check their balance before making a purchase and if needed can view their full payment history on the SendSpend App.
